CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
The Board of Christian Education, which is composed of the Sunday School superintendent,
assistant superintendent and Sunday School teachers, is responsible for the
organization and administration of the entire educational program of the Sunday

CHRISTIANS IN
ACTION
The purpose of CIA is to give people a chance to fellowship outside the church.
All adults from college age and up are welcome and church membership is not
required. Meetings are usually held on the first Saturday of each month at 7

DEACONS
The Board of Deacons is primarily responsible for the spiritual welfare of the
church and its members. Duties include visiting the sick and needy, assisting
the pastor in his pastoral work, serving communion and determining how the church
building shall be used. For more information call Gwen Casey at 445-2447.
LADIES
MISSIONARY SOCIETY
The purpose of this women's group is to support local and overseas missionaries.
It supports four missionaries - Miss Joyce Forsythe of Western Maine Child Evangelism
Fellowship, Megan Balloid (of TEAM) in Venezuela, and Jim & Becky Clarke
of Wycliffe Translators - through prayer, monetary gifts and material goods.
The meeting times are posted in the church bulletin or announced from the pulpit.

MENTORING
The mentor program pairs up an adult and a young person in the church in order
to reach out to that young person and let them know that someone in the NWBC
loves, cares for and supports them in their life and relationship with Jesus
Christ. The mentoring relationship is up to the mentor to develop, but it must
be pleasing to God. The most important duty of the mentor is to pray for his/her

NURSERY
During the Sunday morning worship service a nursery is provided for children
who are in kindergarten or below.
PRAYER CHAIN
Everyone is welcome to join this system of sharing prayer requests by telephone,
in which each person on the chain calls the next person listed. If anyone would
like to join the prayer chain or make a prayer request for the prayer chain,
please call the parsonage at 445-4267.
TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the financial welfare of the church
and for the care and upkeep of the church property. For more information call
